Well.. Its the start of a new year and I have been jonesing to start blogging again.. I still find lots of cool shit and I am still compelled to share it. Cory's finally got his site being updated on a regular basis so I think the time is right..
Speaking of Cory, he has a list of the best video games of 2004 up on his site.. I geneerally agree with him on it, I am suprised he put HL2 above Halo2 for the best FPS. Not suprised because I think Halo 2 is better, suprised because Cory is a self admitted MS whoremonger and I have pictures to prove it! I definatly agree that HL2 is the far superior game.. About the only additions I would make to his list are:
Best "Rolling Things Up Into a Giant Ball" Game : Katamari Damacy (which is allmost my favorite overall game of 2004, right after WOW)
Best VG related purchase that suprised the fuck out of you with how good it was and it didn't even disappoint even a little bit : The Nintendo DS
Gotta give alot of love to the DS, Even though the launch titles are still slim, the fucking demo for Metroid hunters fucking blew me away.. Using the thumb pad its just like a PC FPS.. In fact its better then most FPSs that came out this last year.

The Trailer for Sin City - Honestly. Between the two trailers (one two) for this movie, they are better then 90% of the dreck that came out this last year. Fucking Robert Rodriguez believes in these movies so much that he has resigned from the directors guild of america to make these the way that he wants to make them. If you have not yet read the Sin City Comics then GO GET THEM NOW. Frank Miller is a fucking god in the comic industry and you cannot call yourself a fan of comics without haveing read the sin city books. Amazon has some examples of his art from sin city up that you can check out for comparison. In fact it seems to be a decent chunk of Marv's story. Also check out the IMDB page for it for some interesting information about it.

Oh and on the HL2 tip, download and install this mod right fucking away! Cory you will seriously shit yourself if your allready impressed with the physics of HL2. And it gives you the ablity to pose the chars from the game making humpy humpy if you so please. Check out some screenshots here! For example check out how fucking pimp this is..

Holy shit. Evil Dead the musical was one of the best fucking things I have EVER seen in my entire life. I fucking cried because I was laughing so hard. Seriously, If they have another run next year it is sooo worth the drive to toronto. Plus its a pretty nice city, I wish Nate and I would have had more time to explore the city, There was a pretty sweet Comic book shop next door to the theater, and Honest Eds was right down a block or two! (scroll down and look at the pictures, the place was CRAZY). Then we went and had Thai for supper before the show. While waiting for the show we were encouraged by the people going to seat us to try a nice canadian beer while we waited for the doors to open. We were seated in the fourth row, right behind the blood seats!
After the show we found our way out of city and started home, No trip would be complete without a stop at Canadian Tire, and buying some Aero Bars We got home at about 5am and all in all it was a awesome trip, allthough I was not able to acquire any Poutine

Since its monday and some of you don't have this week off. I will give you this little time waster, I have been playing it for about the last 30 minutes or so and its quite fun. You can also play this fun game, and see if you can answer "what is it?"

I just popped it open tonight to go look for something in the archives, and I saw the smacktards comment on the top post, and figured it was time to get this written. Maybe by shutting the book on this site, I can close out the chapter of my life that this was in some way the heart of.

I started this site back on October 19th of 2000. Just was a way of sharing the crazy shit that I was finding every day with my friends and coworkers in tech support. So much has changed in three years. I've gotten married, had our first kid, and (I like to hope) maybe even grown up a little bit through it all. But even though I have everything I have ever wanted in my life with my loving wife and son. Part of me feels empty and black. I used to have the most fucking awesome friends in the world. Back before I left tech support (a decision I don't think I will ever forgive myself for) my friends were really the focal point of my life. I worked with most of them every day, and hung out constantly with them. The memories I have of the times I spent with them are ones that I will never forget, or I guess forgive myself for ending either. I remember what seemed like countless hours playing video games, driving around, or just goofing around. I don't regret getting married or starting a family.. Jamie is my best friend and my heart. But its very often that I think, "man.. Cory would have really gotten that joke." or, "Geeze.. Scott would apperciate these legos more then anyone else in the world", or "Man, Joel sure was a crack-head unlike any other, good lord he could make me laugh". I don't have anyone to drive around with at 2 in the morning when I can't sleep and get milkshakes with and goof off of, or just to play midtown madness with for hours on end.

Now.. I said "used to have". I guess I still do in one sense. I would still go to the ends of the earth if one of them called out of the blue and told me they needed me. I would drop everything for any one of them and do anything they could want. But.. I don't know.. I don't know if its something that I've done and not realised it.. or what..

I guess as far as I am concerned this is my last post on this website in its current form. Who knows what I will do with it... I will definately leave it up. We'll allways have the archives. And it some small condolence to know that for at least awhile I was the number one search on google for free jetsons porn, and naked pictures of the olsen twins. I even met some pretty cool people from other places throughout it all. But this is it.. the end.. I am tired. I worked my entire sunday today for some nice overtime at work, and I couldn't sleep after I got home at midnight. I hope I got everything out in a somewhat readable manner, so that I can feel somewhat done with feeling what I have been feeling as of late. I just hope getting it all out and written will let me get over everything... To everyone, Thank you for all the great times, I wouldn't trade them for the world. I hope maybe someday there may even be some more.

Dear whoever the fuck found my site searching for this. Fuck off. But I would imagine basically its two pieces of bread (white) with a liberal amount of shit spread between. Perhaps a smattering of your favorite condiment would help enhance the flavor. This is pretty sweet.. I recently saw a system that looked like a nintendo64 controller with what looked like a IR port on the top if it and AV plugs and a AC plug. Well you hooked it up to your AV jacks on your TV and it played like 100 and some odd NES games and the IR port thingy was actually a lightgun to play duck hunt and hogans heros.. Lets see. First link of all I have to show you guys two musical things I have been addicted to for the past few days. Both are directed by the same guy, but hes not what really draws me to them. The first is a cover of the NIN song "hurt" (which has allways been one of my favorite songs. But this isn't just any cover. Its by Johnny Cash. And its bad ass. Every time I hear it, it kills me softly. I've been listening to alot of dark and brooding music lately which is very fitting to where I am life wise. And when I hear this song done in Johnny Cash's style, With his voice, a voice that you can tell has been through so much. Its hard to listen to, but at the same time I can't stop.
The next is a way more upbeat song. Its "can't stop" by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. This song to me really hits the few good points of my life. It reminds me of why I should keep going every day. And the video is fucking incredible. I really don't know what exactly it is about the video, but I really really dig it.

So lets see. My life right now. I'm still doing the ebay thing. I pretty much live at work. I don't mean it in a metaphorical "ha-ha, gee I work alot" way. I stay in toledo all week and go without seeing my wife and our child as it swells her stomach. The two days a week I get to spend with her just make me want to fucking die when I have to say my goodbyes come monday morning. And I don't fucking have anyone in the entire fucking world to talk to about this shit. Its between fucking getting this shit out here, or fucking dumping on someone I don't know at the post office which I must say is the pinnacle of my social interaction. I work, sleep and don't do anything fucking else the entire week except play a few hours of video games here and there and think about how fucking much I miss my wife and how badly I allready love my kid and its not even here yet. And thats about the only thing keeping me going right now. The only fucking thing comforting me and keeping me from going over the edge.

Last weekend I came home and couldn't believe how much girls belly had gotten bigger and it fucking kills me that I'm not there for this. That I can't be there. I keep wondering why my life is like this. What the hell I did for this hell. And I fucking pray constantly that its not allways going to be like this. I never fucking meant it to be like this.. I wish I could think of one thing in the world thats better by my being here. because I think about that alot. And I can't fucking nail it down. As far as I can tell I'm pretty much just fucking wasting air.

well.. fuck.. thats certainly not the direction I meant for this to take. I feel in everyones debt now for putting up with my bullshit, so the least I can do is kick out a decent post after all the fucking shit.

Merry two days after christmas

Things have been kind of hectic. Tons of running around for christmas and all that. I finally have a new computer, Now I just need to build up the funds to get the internet turned back on.
Now that I finally have a really nice computer that kicks ass I need some games. If any of you knows anyplace that I can download games from (iso would be nice) quickly please let me know. I have my computer at my brother in laws for the next day or so and I would like to grab some games before I go home and back to no internet. I need some sweet games to tide me over. My computer has shit the bed (Harddrive died and screeches now). Life is poop. But.. Life is good too. I'm actually posting from work which is helping my brother in law at his business selling games on ebay. So howc an you help me out you ask? Well. Now I with the kid on the way and the money situation being absolute shit now that I am only working part time.. I am resorting to hawking cool shit off on ebay.. Next I'll say: I might be without internet access here in a couple of days too :( It hurts!! aaahh the pain!!. I'm limping around on my dialup account for my old dsl account, but that will go down next Tuesday. And I really don't think there is a broadband provider covering the area of my new place.

Lastly I'll say: LAN Party at my place in 2 weeks(Oct 4th,5th and 6th.)
I just moved into a new place and I have TONS of freaking room. I don't know what to do with it all. So I decided to dedicate a weekend of it to a lan party. Basically anytime over the whole weekend is good. Plenty of room to crash if need be. I'll need to get a few tables/chairs. I have a 5 port hub, if someone could donate an extra one or two(there's some nice ones there at fng*hint hint* :)

Our waitress seated us at a booth, and their booths are tiny, I'm large but I can usually squeeze into most booths without being too uncomfortable, especially since I have been losing some weight, but their booths were really really small. So when the waitress came back, we asked if we could move to a table so I would be a little less cramped. And then she proceeded to prod my fucking stomach... And as she was moving us she annouces pretty much to the entire store "there, you should have a little more room over here big guy" and she says to the people with me "I know what its like, my daughter is about as fat as he is".

Its been a year allmost now so i think its safe to post this.. Its funny as shit regardless...

Well.. Its time for me to go into my job that I hate for another 10 plus hour work day.. You guys enjoy this post, which was brought to you by the letters Z, L, and 3.

Comedy Central blew it on this one.......

I don't know how many people watched Comedy Central's Contest Searchlight last night and when ever else it was on, but it was STUPID!

I think that they were going for some sort of "reality TV" show that showes how hard it is in the tv industry or something. If you aren't familiar with the premis, here is a bit of background.

Normal everyday people send in their ideas for a tv series and you get to look behind the scenes at what actually goes on when a tv channel tries to put together a new show. At the begining you see Dennis Leary come into work all pissed off and wanting to know why the cameras are in his office and running around like a complete asshole. He very much reminded me of every single dickhead boss i ever worked for in my entire life all rolled up into one moron.

Anyway, you get to see what happens when he "forgets" that the show is actually happening and then John Stewart backs out of costarring and they have to find a replacement. Dennis and the crew are frantically calling everyone in the book trying to find someone to do this project and of coarse no one wants too.

I was buying it for a while until they showed the 10 semi finallists at the party they threw where they were going to announce the 3 who got selected from those 10.

I'm sorry, but if you are going to make what is supposed to be a "reality show" about real people trying to make it in show business, you CAN NOT use an actor that has been in a couple movies before! In the group of 10 semi finalists there was one black dude who was wearing a dashiki and at first i didn't recognize him. But they were doign this whole Real World thing where the individuals would get solo time in from of the camera and had to do a journal type thing. When he did his, it turned out to be Dwight Ewell who played Hooper X in Chasing Amy. He also has quite the filmography accourding to IMDB.

So, if anyone thought that this was all real forget about it.

Neocron Goes Public Beta

Just an update to all you fellow geeks out there. Yes, Neocron has gone public beta. Visit the neocron forums to find out where to download your copy. Test will continue through the end of the month. After testing is complete, the game will be released and there will be a 6 week FREE playing period.

So far I think this game rocks. Imagine combining DAoC with Dues Ex(ok, some ppl didn't like it, but I did :P ). and throw in a wicked economy and you have Neocron. There are some things that are not in the game right now. The stock market, vehicles and a few small things are not in the game completely yet, but there are signs of them everywhere. The hoverbikes look bad ass. The game is a little slow to start, but what MMORPG isn't.

Well, I was going to post screenies of my apartment in the game, but I can't log into my ftp account.
